Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Renderly.
Getting Started
Creating an account is free and takes less than a minute. Visit renderly.space and click "Get Started". You can sign up with your email address or continue with Google. Once registered, you'll land on your dashboard where you can create your first property right away — no credit card required.
Yes. Renderly offers a free tier that includes 5 AI stagings and 1 video tour per month at standard quality. It's a great way to explore the platform and see results before committing to a paid plan. Your free account never expires, and you can upgrade at any time from the Billing page.
Renderly works in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge are all fully supported. The dashboard is optimized for desktop use, where you'll have the most comfortable experience managing properties and reviewing staged images. Mobile browsers work for viewing results, though uploading and staging is best done on a larger screen.
After signing in, go to Properties in the sidebar and click "New Property". Give your property a name and address, then add a room. Upload a photo of the room, choose a design style (Modern, Scandinavian, Coastal, and more are available), and click "Generate Staging". Your first result will be ready in under a minute. From there you can regenerate with different styles, download the image, or create a video tour.
Staging & Quality
Most images are staged within 30 to 60 seconds. Complex rooms, high-resolution images, or detailed custom prompts may occasionally take up to 2 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator while your staging is being generated, and the result will appear automatically when it's ready. If a generation takes longer than 3 minutes, refresh the page and try again — it's rare but can happen during periods of high demand.
We accept JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files. For the best staging results, upload images with a resolution of at least 1920x1080. Higher resolution photos produce sharper, more detailed output. Make sure the room is well-lit and shot at a neutral angle — straight-on or slight wide-angle shots work best. Fisheye or heavily distorted lens images may produce less accurate results.
Yes. Every staging can be regenerated as many times as you like (within your plan's monthly limit). Navigate to the room detail page, click "Generate New Staging", and you can choose a different design style, adjust the furniture density, or write a custom prompt to guide the result. Previous stagings are saved so you can compare versions and download whichever you prefer.
Renderly offers a curated set of interior design styles including Modern, Scandinavian, Coastal, Bohemian, Industrial, Mid-Century Modern, and Luxury. New styles are added regularly. Each style is designed to produce clean, professional results that photograph well for listings. You can also mix style guidance into a custom prompt for more specific results.
On the staging generation screen, there is an optional "Custom Prompt" field. You can describe specific furniture pieces, color palettes, or room details you'd like to see — for example: "warm-toned living room with a large sectional sofa, natural wood coffee table, and linen curtains." The more specific you are, the closer the result will match your vision. Custom prompts work best when combined with a style selection rather than used alone.
A few factors can affect staging quality. First, check the source photo: rooms with poor lighting, extreme angles, or heavy clutter in the frame tend to produce less polished results. Second, try a different design style — some styles work better in certain room types. Third, if the room is partially furnished, the AI may have difficulty cleanly removing existing furniture. For best results, use photos of empty, well-lit rooms shot at eye level. If you're still seeing issues, reach out to support with your image and we can advise.
Videos
After staging at least one room in a property, go to the Videos section from the sidebar. Click "New Video", select the property you want to use, and choose which staged room images to include. You'll be able to set the order of rooms, pick a background music track, and choose a transition style. Once you're happy with the setup, click "Generate Video" — your tour will be ready within a few minutes.
Custom music upload is available on Professional (Tier 2) and Enterprise (Tier 3) plans. On those plans, you'll see an option to upload an audio file (MP3 or WAV, up to 10 minutes) instead of choosing from our library. The audio is automatically trimmed or looped to match the length of your video tour. Free and Starter plans have access to a curated library of royalty-free background tracks.
Videos are exported as MP4 files (H.264 codec), which is compatible with virtually every platform — MLS uploads, social media, email, and property listing sites. Standard resolution is 1080p (1920x1080). Enterprise plan users have access to 4K export. After generation, you can download the file directly or share it via a link.
Video generation typically takes between 1 and 5 minutes, depending on the number of rooms included and the output resolution. A short 3-room tour at 1080p usually completes in under 2 minutes. You'll receive a notification (and a page update) when your video is ready. You don't need to stay on the page — the video will appear in your Videos library when done.
Billing & Account
Go to Dashboard and click "Billing" in the sidebar, or navigate to Settings and look for the Plan section. You'll see all available tiers with their monthly limits and pricing. Yes, there are no contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, at which point your account reverts to the Free tier. Nothing is deleted — your properties, images, and videos all remain in your account.
Renderly accepts all major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We never store your card number or CVV on our servers. If your payment fails, Stripe will retry automatically and you'll receive an email with instructions to update your payment details.
No. Your staged images and video tours are never deleted when you cancel or downgrade. They remain fully accessible in your account. What changes is your monthly generation limit — after cancellation you'll be on the Free tier with 5 stagings per month. Existing images and videos stay right where they are, available to view and download.
To permanently delete your account, go to Settings and scroll to the bottom of the page. You'll find a "Delete Account" option in the Danger Zone section. Deleting your account is irreversible — all your properties, staged images, and videos will be permanently removed. If you're on a paid plan, please cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges. If you have any questions before deleting, contact support and we'll be happy to help.
